Bonny Blue Eyes

Bonny Blue Eyes

After the thunder stopped

And neon fumes blown away

After the the heart has beat its last throb

And fists of metal quieten

When hades has fully chained

The breaths that fall like wispy drops of rain

I scurry through the ashen sunrise

I scratch through his ashen face

And dine upon his bonny blue eyes

I will eat his tongue and cheek and palate

I will reveal his bleached and broken bones

I will tear each shred of warm tissue
And leave his corpse totally cold and alone

I will burrow through his seams of flesh

And when light echoes through the metal mesh

And leather rots in my metal maw

Only I will remember him, forever and nevermore
